About Us
The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada is a charitable organization dedicated to the advancement of astronomy and allied sciences. The RASC is Canada's leading astronomy organization bringing together over 4,000 enthusiastic amateurs, educators and professionals.
The Edmonton Centre of the RASC offers local programs and services
stimulate interest in and educate the public in astronomy.
The Edmonton Centre was established in 1932 and has a current membership of over
200. Our major activities include monthly meetings, dark site observing sessions, on-going public observing, public education, and special events such as
star parties and astronomy workshops.
